Should I use a Facebook Page for a Family Reunion
Here is a conversation I had with a Geeks on Tour member via Facebook messaging:
- Fred Hagedorn
Need your thoughts on the “Creating a Page”. Would you advise creating a page for Family Members. Our Family has had a family reunion each year for over 135 years. If a page was created, would other family members be able to upload photo’s to it along with their comments? Or is that only reserved for the “Admin”. Just looking for your professional opinion if this might be a good idea or not.

Great question – I think a Group would be better. Pages are public, a Group can be private. Also, with a group, everyone in the group gets a feed of everyone else’s posts. With a page, the only feed available is that of the admin. All members of a group can be given the ability to upload pictures, videos, and files.

Thanks Chris, great idea. Didn’t even think of creating a Group. I think that would be the way to go. Thanks again for all your help.
