Whenever I want to post something on Facebook it automatically shows up as a status update on my timeline rather than in news feeds. Can I just post something in news feeds rather than as a status update on my timeline? Thank you

It just doesn’t work that way. The news feed IS a collection of status updates from your friends’ timelines. Your newsfeed is all about your friends. Their news feeds will include your status updates.

Did you watch this video? https://geeksontour.com/2011/03…..usinesses/

It’s a little old, but the concept remains the same.¬†

I’m sorry, I watched the video a couple of times but did not hear anything about posting and status update. Maybe I was watching the wrong video.¬†Anyways so when I update my status it shows up on my friends news feed as a status update from me. Should it also show up on my news feed page. Thank you again.

What exactly shows up on your News Feed is a mystery according to Facebook’s algorithms. Sometimes I see my posts on my feed and sometimes I don’t. I guess they figure that you posted it, so it’s not news to you!
