I have a friend I communicated with for months on Facebook and suddenly her name disappeared from my friends list. I’ve searched for her (and she has searched for me!) but nothing appears. She still shows up on other family lists. Since there’s no way to contact FB (and what’s that all about?!), do you have any suggestions on how we reconnect?Cry

Hi Ada!

Gee, I haven’t heard of that.  If a friend disappears from my list, I would expect that to mean I have been UNfriended by them.  But, if you say she has searched for you – that doesn’t sound like the case.

Here’s one suggestion from facebook:

  • The person you’re looking for may have restricted their privacy settings or blocked you. Sometimes people forget that they’ve restricted their settings. If you still can’t find one of your friends, ask them take a look at their privacy settings.

Let me know.
