I signed up for Facebook and somehow got a Facebook business account. When I try to sign in, I always get to Facebook business. My notes show I deactivated the account in 2014 but by asking for a new password today I must have reactivated this Facebook Business account. What can I do? When I try to sign up for a new account with my email address, I get a response that this email is already in use (as the Business Account). Help
Sorry for the delay in replying. We had some issues with the forum part of the website.
It sounds like you created a page. Can you send us a link to it?
Is this the first time you have tried Facebook? You should be able to go into settings for the page and delete it.

https://www.facebook.com/business/
So,I sign on using my password and it brings me to the above page “Facebook Business.” No pages, ads or anything else has been created. No page to delete. Seems as though if I permanently deactivate the site, I won’t be able to use my user name (ei: email
address) again to create a personal facebook page.
I’ve been going around with this for quite some time, but have never actually gotten set up on a Facebook account that I can use.

That’s weird.
A business page is like our GeeksOnTour page at http://www.facebook.com/geeksontour
But, I’m logged into facebook as Chris Guld, so if I just go to http://www.facebook.com I get to my personal newsfeed. Or, I can even specify http://www.facebook.com/chrisguld to force it to go to my profile. The link you gave above is http://www.facebook.com/business … can you erase the word business and just go to facebook.com? or does it bounce you back? How about http://www.facebook.com/yourusername?

Yes, I am using a computer, not a mobile.
No, I do not get the log-in screen. I asked to remain logged in. So I don’t get any option to log out.
When I type in “facebook.com, the site pops right to Facebook business. There is no option to log out here. It allmost seems like an advertisement, but does have options to create page, ads, etc. So that’s where I am..

Can you go to another computer? or at least another browser and see what happens there when you go to facebook.com and try logging in?
I don’t know of anyone with a business only account on Facebook, most of us have personal accounts and then create a business page using our personal account as the Page Admin.
Here is an article about Business accounts with Facebook when you have no personal account. Does anything in here help?

I used hubbies Samsung to access internet. Got a response that the link was broken or the account deleted.
Well that’s interesting. I would love to delete the acc’t but as i said, I don’t think I’d ever be able to use my current email address to start a new personal facebook account.
Thanks for the link to that article. Yup, that’s what I have..a business account link but with no page or ads set up. Why can’t I just get out of that area and set up a personal account.

Its the same problem Snaps right over to Facebook for business. Can not open a new account with the current email address as “there is already an account in use”…the Business account. This all is just going in circles. Thanks for all your suggestions. I’ll let you know if I ever resolve the problem. S
Well … what about making a new personal account with a different email address then? The email address doesn’t have to show anywhere, and after the account is created, you can add more email addresses. You should even be able to add your desired email and make it the primary. I have 4 emails attached to my facebook account, and I can make any of them the ‘primary.’
