I am in the process of changing over everything I can on an old computer so my son can use it. I thought I was done when I noticed that under the Windows folder under This PC there is a users folder. In there is a folder with my name on it. Can I just delete this? Or should I rename it to my son’s name? Or should it be handled some other way? What is the function of this folder?

Barb,
It is really best, when giving away a computer to format it and re-install the operating system. Here is a article I found on how to reset a windows 10 computer.
As for the user question – no, you can’t just rename that folder. You need to go into system settings, Users, and delete the user.
