Just attended your zoom meeting re:bitcoin. I was able to open the blue wallet app, then proceeded to try and buy some bitcoin. Put in my address, email, etc, then was asked for credit or debit card. Tried both and neither worked,.how do I buy bitcoin with this wallet app. I live in Canada, it accepted that I wanted the transaction in Canadian funds but wouldn’t accept either of my cards for payment.
Hello Diane,
Personally, I have not bought bitcoin thru the Blue Wallet App. I did notice that purchases are now available, thru a connection with MoonPay. This is fairly new, and you have to give Moonpay your mailing address, email, a photo of your drivers license and a credit card. If you did all that, and it still didn’t go thru, it may be that the bank behind your credit card does not allow crypto purchases. You’d have to ask your bank on that one.
The way I got my bitcoin was to sign up for an account with Coinbase. I linked a bank account to my coinbase account in order to fund purchases of bitcoin within Coinbase. Then I transferred the bitcoin from Coinbase to my Blue wallet.
