Hi Mrs. G
First I want to thank you for the information about Photomyne. I have been busy transferring old photo albums to GP using Photomyne. It works wonderfully. I am having some trouble seeing photos transferred to my iPhone. Sometime it works and sometimes the photos don’t show up. However, I can find the transferred photos on GP on my dt computer. After I put the photos into an album on my computer – the same ones that didn’t show when I tried to transfer from Photomyne to my iPhone, the album does show up on my iPhone in both Photos and Albums. Don’t know what I am doing wrong as I follow your directions in the Photomyne video/tuturoial.
However, I am now trying to put captions on these 1985 photos and in trying to watch your #154 tutorial on Captions I find it is blocked – Adobe Flash Player Blocked. I looked up updating the flash player and found that you don’t need to download it because Chrome has it built in.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help.
Hello Betty Lou,
Thanks for the heads-up for video 154 – I have fixed it now.
But, realize that video is just showing you how to do captions using Picasa. Picasa is old, unsupported software now. If you are still using it, this technique will work for the pictures that are on your computer – but Picasa cannot see photos in the cloud – i.e. in Google Photos.
As for the Photomyne photos – you mention 3 very different photo systems:
- on computer
- on iPhone – you might be referring to the Apple photos app which is completely separate from Google Photos
- in Google Photos – this is in the cloud, not on your computer (even though you can see them on your computer by viewing the website at photos.google.com
If you give me some more step by step detail of what you’re doing, maybe I can help.
