I have been uploading my photos from my hard drive and from CDs into google photos for months using my Mac when it suddenly stopped working. I have tried to re-install backup and sync but get a message saying I can’t because I have Mac OS X 10.7.5 and need Mac OS X 10.9 or later. Is there another way to upload my photos since I don’t have the funds to buy a new computer. The only thing I have besides my old Mac is an iPad. I was just thinking about how easy this was when it suddenly stopped working. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Trying to beat the June 1st deadline.
After watching one of your videos I discovered I have actually been using the manual pull method so do not understand why it stopped working.
I don’t understand why the manual ‘pull’ method would stop working either. Are your photos in folders in the Finder? or are they in an iPhoto library?
If all your photos are synced thru iCloud to your iPad – you might be able to upload from there using the Google Photos app. Is the Google Photos app installed on your iPad?
come back with a bit more detail and we’ll go from there.
See if this video sheds any light:

All my photos are on CDs and an external hard drive. I load the cd onto my Mac computer. I open my google photos on the Mac. Open the pictures from the cd. Click upload photos on google photos then click computer and the only thing that happens is a blue message comes up saying I can also drop files onto this page to upload new content. Then the message goes away and nothing else happens. I even tried to drag a photo but that doesn’t work either.
