I am scanning old photos into picassa, editing them, exporting to “my pictures” on my computer and then importing them from “my pictures” to google photos. I am copying my pictures on the computer to a photo stick and then want to removed the pictures (thousands) off my computer. I keep reading the instructions in “LEARN” but am still afraid that I am reading it wrong and will delete the pictures from google photos when I delete them from my computer. Wish I could still travel and attend one of your seminars. I learned so very much from you that way in the past. Thank you. Barb kruger
Hi Barbara,
There is no syncing between your computer and Google Photos, so there is no danger of deleting from Google Photos (in the cloud) by deleting photos from your computer’s hard drives.
In reading your message though – I think your first step is totally unnecessary. No need to scan into Picasa and edit. Just go directly to Google Photos – the editing tools in Google Photos are as good or better than Picasa. How are you doing the scanning?
Watch our YouTube show this Sunday and join us in the Backstage pass afterward, and we can discuss it further.
