Hi Mrs. G.
I couldn’t find this item tho I saw the topic. Sorry. Apparently I asked Google to download my Google data on Nov 7.????. I now have an email from them with 109 downloaded archives. What to do? I could and would like to download load my photos onto a hard drive as an additional backup but I don’t want my emails and other data. I have 5 more days to take advantage of this download. The email is junk and I don’t want to save it. Is there a better way to save my google photos especially the albums onto a hard drive or should I go ahead the whole shebang.
Thanks for your help.

I assume you used the Takeout service? If so, when you first go to https://takeout.google.com/?pli=1 – it’s true that ALL of your Google data is selected. But you can click on “Deselect All” and then scroll down and just click on google Photos. Once there, you can also click the button that reads “All Albums” and Deselect All and select just the albums you want to download.
You can simply ignore the email you got and let that backup expire. Go back to Takeout and select just what you want.
OR
You can do what I do and just Download the albums you want. Here’s my video on what I do 574.GP-Download from Google Photos to Computer
