I have AVG on my computer, but decided to install Microsoft Security Essentials instead.  Now an error shows up when I try to delete AVG.

What do I need to do to get rid of AVG.

If you're on XP:

1) Click on Start, Control Panel
2) Open Add/Remove Programs
3) Find AVG in the Programs list and highlight it
4) Click Remove and follow the prompts to uninstall AVG Free

If you're on Vista/Windows 7

1) Click on Start, type: Programs
2) Click on 'Programs and Features' in the results list
3) Find AVG in the Programs list and highlight it
4) Click Uninstall/Change (in the menu above programs) and follow the prompts to uninstall AVG Free

If you've done all that and it doesn't work, let us know.
