I would like to create calendars using my pictures from Picasa to give as Christmas presents. Is there a software that you would recommend to help create them? With today’s umpteen pixel cameras, the big pictures should look great. Should I take them to someone like Office Max to print and put them on a spiral binding?
Thanks
Roberta
Roberta,
Hey! Making calendars was one of the examples we discussed in our Webinar last week on Picasa and Send Out Cards. You can watch that now if you like by using this link. But it’s an hour long and we talked about a lot more stuff than calendars.
The short answer is to use Picasa’s File->Order Prints command.
- Select the pictures you want on your calendar
- File->Order Prints
- Select a service like Walmart, Snapfish, Shutterfly etc. and create an account
- Picasa will upload the edited version of your pictures to whichever service you selected and drop you off on their website. Most all have the ability to make calendars, then mail them.
Send Out Cards also can make calendars, or Office Depot as you suggested. You just need to Export your pictures to a thumb drive or something since it’s not integrated with Picasa.
Here’s an article from our PicasaGeeks.com website that goes into a little more detail on making gifts from photos.
