Hello Melissa and Bruce,
The answer depends on whether you’re using a self-hosted WordPress site (meaning that you’re paying GoDaddy or BlueHost, or some other company for hosting) or you’re using the Free WordPress.com system.
If it’s the free wordpress.com, then all you need to do is go thru a one time connection to your Google Photos. Here is the WordPress.com help on Google Photos.
If it’s a self-hosted WordPress, then there are a couple of ways.
- Using a connected WordPress.com account: here’s an article I wrote on that.
- Use the Photonic plugin for wordpress. This is a tool for creating full-blown galleries and lightboxes.
Hope that helps.
Actually, there is one more way 🙂 You can always download the photo from Google Photos to your computer, then use WordPress native “Insert Image” and Upload from computer.
To download from Google Photos to computer: Open photo using photos.google.com on your computer, click the 3-dot menu at top right, click Download
