I use photo gallery ( P.G.)to keep photos of my hobby/collection. This is now at about 1800 pictures. P.G. allows me to enter a name, title and tag for each photo. How can I print out the collection and have the 3 details print under or beside the photo. I can print with just name under the photo but I would like to have the rest print as well. If this is impossible would you have any suggestions on other software to use instead of P.G.

Hello David,

First let me be sure I know what “Photo Gallery” you are referring to. I assume you mean Microsoft’s Windows Live Photo Gallery. This was available for window computers – it has been discontinued – since 2017 I think. If that’s not what you mean, please give me more detail on what Photo Gallery you mean.

As for printing name, title, and tag – if you’ve found how to print the filename along with the photo, I think you’re doing good. If you don’t see a print tags or caption or title in the same dialog box, the capability most likely doesn’t exist. I can’t find any photo management software that prints tags.

Picasa can print name, OR caption, OR exif info (date, size etc.) but you can only choose one of the 3.

Photoshop Lightroom has more options of what can be printed with the photo, but it still doesn’t include tags, and it still requires that you choose one of the printable items: Caption, Custom text, Date, FileName, Title, and something called “Edit – Shows the photo information that you specify using the Text Template Editor dialog box”

I guess, if I was required to print all that with the photo, I would manually enter the info into the caption, or the name, then have Picasa print the caption, or PG print the name.

Sorry I don’t have better news. I certainly don’t know every software, the feature you want may exist, but not that I know of.
