In Blogger to add pictures your choice is from Google Photo Archive, from Phone or from Computer. These titles need to be corrected to the proper wording.

There is and Archive function within Google Photos but that is not what Blogger means, Blogger actually means from any Album in Photos.google.com.

from Phone means any picture in Photos.google.com.

I have found this very confusing from the start and have always downloaded my pictures to the PC and copied them from there since I didn’t have any photos in Google Photos Archive nor did I have pictures from my phone. I had uploaded pictures from my camera and very few did I take on the phone. I have recently learned that the wording is in error in Blogger, now that I know this my blogging life is much simpler.

Am I the  only one baffled by what Blogger is trying to say???

Sue, I couldn’t agree with you more! Here’s my video about using Google Photos in Blogger, where I mention the problem with the wording.

Google Album Archive was supposed to be a place where the history of our Picasa Web Albums were stored … but it has turned into a complete view of our entire Google account photos, with an “album” for every day that photos are added. Couldn’t be much more confusing! And, I’ve discovered that “from your phone” isn’t your entire library of photos, but it IS more than just the photos from your phone. It is everything that was uploaded to your account – from phone or computer. It is not photos that you acquired from other sources – for example, a friend shared a photo with me and I saved it to my library – that photo does not show up in “From your phone”

Yes, they really need to clean this up and clarify the wording. Meanwhile, I still find it pretty easy to add photos from my Google Photos account to my Blog.

Thanks for the response and assuring me I am not the only one confused. Interesting  find about the saved photos. I always wonder when these programs are created if anyone sits down and pretends they are an ignorant user trying to use the program. I was in computers for many years and did many programs and this was one of the final steps, to pretend you are the user. I find this step lacking in so many programs and apps.
