First off, thank you for doing this,  Wish I had become a member long ago.  So many topics, I find myself jumping all over the place.

Since I need to focus on one thing only, decided to work on a Blogger Blog I started years ago,  I realize I have to go into Photobucket so some of the pictures can show (hope I can find my username & PW) but can you please view and offer any other suggestions for my Blog as you see fit?

I saw a video of yours other day giving instructions about sharing Blogger.  Can’t find it again but hopefully I remember:

Ok!!  The link seemed to work.   Smile

And I realize first sentence in that top post should read that that POST (not Blog) had been so many years in the making…. no big deal.  Thank you for any assistance you can give me on this.

Part of my frustration, is I was jumping all over the place trying to absorb a lot on your site and was just frustrating and confusing myself.

So I gained access to Photobucket to link the missing photos to the blog but they want me to upgrade to a payment plan in order to have my photos appear on 3rd party sites.  Fine, except they want like 300 dollars to upgrade.  Needless to say, I am NOT upgrading.    Trying to downloading photos back to my computer and does not seem to be working….  Sorry, just venting.  Maybe just needs time as there are so many…..

Hey Rosemary,

good to see you here!

I tried the link to your blog and got the message that it is only available to invited readers. I can’t see it because it’s not public. (that’s a setting in your Blog’s dashboard under “Permissions.”)

As for pictures, I think Google Photos is the best way to store photos for using in Blogger – they’re both using your Google account. Here’s the video on how to do that:

Yay and thanks!  It is good to be here finally.  LOL

While I did not find something specifically saying “Dashboard”, I did find where I could change my Blog from Public to private, and now, hopefully, it is public.

Yesterday I deleted the Photobucket black boxes that were telling me to upgrade and switched them to the same photos from my Google account.  The video that you suggested to watch to learn how to do that, I had already watched yesterday 2 or 3 times and I got that done fine. Those were the photos from the Dogs in Mississippi.  The other two postings with photos were fine.  I believe photos on earlier post must have been uploaded directly from computer and the wedding photos were surely from my Google photos that I somehow figured out way back when how to do.

New Question:  I made a one-word change on the wedding posting (changed word “blog” to “post”).  Today I notice that that post is now dated as of yesterday’s date, instead of when I originally wrote post back in late 2013 or early 2014.  Is there any way to change the posting date to be the actual day of the event/  If I really get into this, I know I will want to add events that are old (such as births of 2 grandbabies) and make the post date the same as the event.  This way, everything will be in order.  Is that possible or must a blog posting always be dated to the date one last worked on it??

Second Question:  I notice my date listing on side panel is w/earliest date first.  I didn’t realize that until today.  I saw a video where you were talking about the date listing.  Can you refer me to that video’s number so I can view it later today.  I think I want the date order reversed.

Gotta run.  We will be getting partial eclipse soon.  Thanks!!

OK, I can see it now. So far, so good!

y’know, if you wanted it to be private, you can still do that and just send me an invite if you want me to be able to see it.

I’m surprised that a post date changed – that’s not normal behavior. but, you can change the date to be whatever you want. Here’s the video:

As for the date order of your archives, that’s an option on the gadget settings. If you find the Layout menu, you will see the layout of your blog, including all the gadgets like Archives that are in your sidebar. Next to Archives, you’ll see Edit. Now you’ll see all the options, change the date order to Newest first. I don’t have a video on that … I’ll put it on my list.
