Which program/widget do you recommend to memorialize your travels during a particular time period? I would like to display our 4 month trip during 2016 on a map that would display on my Wordpress blog. TIA

I use Google My Maps for that. See our blog’s map page.
Here are the Google Maps videos that teach how to do it. they’re in the Making Maps section. Our blog is on Blogger, but the same Google Maps could be put into a WordPress blog just the same.
