Hello Chris, suggestions needed for inserting a video in Blogger that has music contained in the video.

In the past I was on a tour boat taking video of the sites. In the background they had music playing through their intercom as the captain narrated what we were looking at. I uploaded the video to YouTube and posted to my blog only to find out the very next day the video was taken down from YouTube and thus lost for my blog.

Recently I recorded a fellow RV’er who was singing a song that I wanted to post in my blog. I remembered about what had happened in the past but thought surely that because it was being sung by and unknown and not sounding professionally produced it would be permitted to upload to YouTube. I went to your instructions on how to upload to YouTube then insert it into the blog. However with YouTube rules on music, they deleted the video from YouTube and thus the insert in the blog was also deleted.

I have uploaded the video to my Google Photo’s then placed a link in the blog. So far this has worked.

Do you have any suggestions as to how to handle video’s that may have music in them for posting to our Blog?

YouTube is the best for inserting video into Blog – but, yes, Youtube can be very touchy about music. If Google Photos is working for you – that’s a good way to go. Another option is OneDrive. Vimeo is specifically for videos – but they’re mostly fee-based. I think OneDrive works the best for embedding.
