I started my own personal blog today. It was easy using the Geeks tutorials.

How long before it pees on the floor?
Good Job! Great collages for your pictures.
You might want to make the body of your blog a bit wider so the collages fit better. You do that by using the Template designer, here’s the video:
As you’re going thru the videos, please let me know if any of them are so out of date as to not be helpful. Many Blogger commands have changed location since I made the videos, but still work the same. But some things have changed more drastically and I should re-record the videos.

Thanks for the tip about using “Template Designer” in Blogger. I did go in and change the width of my posts and sidebar. My photos still crowd into the sidebar but I can live with that small encroachment.
The video about embedding a map in your post (blog14.Add a Google Map to your Blog Post #059) was difficult to use. Google must have changed “Google Maps” a lot. Your screen share in the videos and what I can see now are not close to being the same. I have added a link to my custom map in my post and am still working on using HTML to embed the map itself.
Thanks! You’re right – the blog14 video is too outdated to be useful. I will re-record it now. Meanwhile, be sure to watch the custom map videos in the Google Maps section:
Note: “Custom Maps” is now re-branded back to its old name of “My Maps”
