Q: We have published a blog for a couple of years. My problem is when I go to my mailing list to let them know the blog has been published I am unable to put the names in BCC (blind copy). If it is because the server thinks this is a spam mailing list what else can you do? If you do mail your mailing list it looks like you have to show the email addresses of everyone on your mailing list. There are about 125 people on my mailing list. http://www.rvandmh.blogspot.com is our blog
A: The number of addresses you can enter into the BCC field may be controlled by your email provider. They’re all different. You may be able to split them up. If your provider limits you to 50, you’d need to send 3 emails.
But, a better way to inform people is to set up a blogger gadget for ‘Subscribe via Email’. Then you can enter their emails once … or, better yet, they can enter their emails themselves. That way it is Feedburner managing the emails and, I don’t think there is any limit.
