I read that as of July 1 Feedburner will no longer be hosting email subscription. Is there another way for people to get emails when a new post is published?

Yes, that is a drag that Feedburner is no longer sending emails. And, there is no simple replacement yet. My plan right now is to download a copy of all the subscriber emails currently in Feedburner, then set them up as a list for Blog Broadcast at AWeber. AWeber is our email provider for sending bulk emails. It is similar to Constant Contact or MailChimp.

I’m sure hoping that we hear of a good alternative for the one-step-simple Feedburner email list.

Meanwhile, make sure you download all of your subscriber emails. You don’t want to lose them!

Here’s how:

  1.  Go to Feedburner.google.com and be sure you’re signed in with the same account that owns the blogger blog.
  2. You should see the title of your blog listed on the home page, click that
  3. On the next screen, choose the Publicized tab
  4. In the left column, see the Email Subscriptions section and click on Subscription Management
  5. Scroll down until you see the option to view subscriber details – you should see all the emails appear, then click on Export CSV

I’ve attached a screenshot for further details – click on it to enlarge.

Thanks Chris. I use Constant Contact for our SKP Chapter communications. I use the Blog to post write ups and pictures of our rallies. I was thinking I could send a link to new Blog entries in CC. Another thought was to eliminate the Blog all together. Hmmmm?

😊😊

Constant Contact would be a great substitute. Just compare your Constant Contact email list with the Feedburner one to see if anyone is getting left out.
