I’ve been TRYING to create a slideshow on my blog but for the life of me have NOT been successful. It should be easy! I’ve read all the helps again but just can’t get it to work. I think the problem is the conversion to Google+ instead of Picasa Web Albums. Can I change back to Picasa Web albums or am I stuck now that I’ve been using Google+ with my Picasa?
I’ve added the slideshow gadget to the blog but it just won’t load from Google+. Help????
Look at my blog to see if it works. It also appears to be too large to fit into the side bar but I can’t find where to change the size of just that gadget.
You are correct – that functionality does not exist anymore.
You can go back to the PicasaWeb.google.com interface and get it. See this past forum thread.
BUT … realize that the reason it’s gone is that the technology that makes that slideshow work is Flash – Flash is an old, dead, technology and it’s getting dead-er every day.
I have not yet found an alternative – other than simply posting lots of pictures. A google search does turn up some possibilities … Cincopa.com looks interesting. I’m off to the airport any minute .. will try it later. If you try it – or something else, let us know!
