httpS security is such a hot button right now, and that is one reason I like using Blogger. the security certificate is all built in with the .blogspot.com domains. If you use a custom domain you lose that. For that reason, I have custom domains but I use redirect. For example:
type in LearnGooglPhotos.com and you will end up at https://learngooglephotos.blogspot.com/
I figure, as long as I make it easy for people to get there, I don’t mind the URL being longer. and the httpS is worth it.
I may do some more research though since I really don’t understand why the custom URL takes away the S.
