I am doing a travel blog using the information learned in your session at the FMCA rally. (Having a great time doing it–thanks for the inspiration and getting me started!)
But, I have heard from several people that they have posted comments to my blog, but the comments don’t appear. Some individuals have not had a problem commenting… One person said she went through the verification process, but never knew whether her comment was accepted…apparently it was not.
I have checked the settings, and allow anyone to comment. I removed the verification process to see if that was causing issues. I have received a few “spam” comments, but got a call today from someone who thought she posted a comment, but it hasn’t shown up.
Any ideas on how to make it easier for individuals to comment on the blog?
Thanks.

I checked out your blog (quite nice! good job) and I was able to leave a comment no problem. It appears to me that you have it set to require that commenters to be a ‘Registered User’ – meaning they are logged in to their browser with some kind of identification. For example, I am always logged in to my Google Account. When I left a comment, it knew who I was because of that. If you want anyone to be able to comment, your options should look like the screenshot below. I know you said you checked ‘anyone’ but take another look to be sure. Let us know.
