Q: My one main question is: short of learning HTML how can you have a great text and photo page where the photos are dispersed among the text and the pictures aren’t all in a row.
A: Blogger has never been good at positioning images. You can use the align left – to get text to flow to the right of the photo, and align right to get text to flow around the left, but that’s about it.
The New Blogger has added tables – that gives us a bit more control. But it’s still not great. I played with it on this Test post with Tables.
My method has been to surrender to Blogger and not try to force a particular arrangement. I make my photos Extra Large and let them take up the whole column of my blog post.
If you really need to specifically arrange photos, Blogger is not the tool for you. I really like Blogger for my blog though, so if I needed text and photos arranged a specific way, I would do it in Powerpoint, or Google Slides, then copy the finished product as one image – using screen capturing and insert the resulting image in blogger. Be sure to check out my Test post with tables, and scroll to the bottom to see where I used Google Slides.
I could even put that Google Slides image here – anywhere you can put a photo. Click the thumbnail to see if full size.
