Geeks' Story

Jim and Chris Guld are Geeks Who Teach. They’ve both been in the Computer Training and Support industry since the early 80s. She has been in computer training and support since 1983 and owned a Computer Training Center called Computer Savvy from 1983-1996. She was one of the first WordPerfect Certified trainers in 1986; President of the International Computer Training Association in 1993; Author of the Beginner’s Guide to Picasa and the PicasaGeeks.com website. More about Jim: Jim Guld is the Prime Geek at GeeksOnTour.com. He got his first personal computer in 1978 and wrote programs for the family restaurant business. His degree is in Electronics Technology. He built, sold and serviced PC networks from ’88 to ’93 when he joined Computer Savvy as Network Administrator. He was Novell Network certified and a Microsoft Certified Trainer. He was Net Admin for CyberGate ISP in the days of dial-up modems and pioneered data access for remote construction sites. He loves to learn, especially new technology.
Jim keeps all their technology in order and is producer, director, camera and sound man for their weekly webcasts, In the 90s he was Network Administrator at Computer Savvy and became a Microsoft Certified Instructor.

Jim and Chris have been all over the country several times now. They visit National Parks and other beautiful places every chance they get.
