What’s up with Jim and Chris – the Geeks?

April was perfect weather in South Florida, so we got away for a few days and joined other Roadtrek owners at the Oscar Scherer State Park. The images above are from that outing.

Tutorials: Other than that outing, we enjoyed time at home. We produced several new tutorial videos, numbered 850-853. We also did a live Google Photos Q&A as well as 2 of our Sunday “What Does This Button Do?” shows. We added a third episode in our series of educational shows for smartphone beginners: Apr 21, 2024 Episode 275. Smartphone Basics #3: Apps If you missed the first two, see episodes 256 & 261

Community: We so enjoy the Zoom meetings we have with our members. We chat backstage after every Sunday “Button” show. We learn from you as well as teach. We just finished our series of Google Photos workshops (live over Zoom) with #4 covering Sharing and Creating: Chapters 9 & 10.  If you missed them – you can see all the materials, including a recording of the Zoom meeting, on our Classes page. Remember this is for members only.

What’s New? This month we do 1 new Google Photos workshop, 2 new “Button” shows, and we actually have one live, in-person presentation. See the calendar below for details.

Keep scrolling down and you’ll see new articles about Google Photos, Smartphone tips, and a video about sharing your location. Plus links to everything added to our website this past month.

We’ll be underwater for the 2d week of May on a dive boat in the British Virgin Islands, then Chris flies to Austin for the Google Product Experts summit. So you won’t see us again till Sunday, May 26. Bubbles Up!!
