Google Photos is a free, unlimited home for your lifetime of photos. I just love browsing and searching my photos, but sometimes I want more. On any given photo I might want to know the date it was taken, the location, the camera used to take it, and any comments/description I’ve written about it.

Easily Done, just Swipe up.
There used to be a little i icon for information, and there still is on the computer/web version of Google Photos. For some time now, the i has been gone from the mobile version as it is becoming quite common to “swipe up for more” on all sorts of apps. I really like it. Once you know it’s there, it becomes second nature quickly.

On the Apple iOS version of Google Photos, there is even more. Google just added some icons about what you can do with a photo. Just swipe up and you’ll see some action icons as well as the info.
- Add to album
- Archive
- Save to device
- Open in Snapseed (if you have snapseed installed)
- Save as PDF (when you share, it will be a .pdf file rather than .jpg)
I like these new options, I hope they come to Android soon.
Ha! Thanks for detailed info but I discovered this new feature accidentally. Love it! ❤️
