Geeks in January

To start out 2019 we’re traveling to Australia and diving the Great Barrier Reef, then we’re continuing on to New Zealand and renting a camper van for the month of February. Check out our photo album photo album for Australia/New Zealand. And our personal travel Blog for the rest of the story.

We always continue to learn about technology! And, we share it with you on our weekly class, What Does This Button Do?

By the way, our pictures, Blogs, Photo Albums, maps, and videos are all examples of what we teach.  You can learn how to plan, navigate, and remember your life’s events.  It makes the experience that much more enjoyable to get creative and share pictures, maps, stories, and movies with friends and family. Check out our Learning Library of Tutorial Videos, just go to GeeksOnTour.com and click the menu for Tutorials. There are plenty of free videos in addition to our members-only content to whet your appetite for learning.

How your phone can tell you the time in two different time zones at once
We are currently traveling in Australia and New Zealand. We use our phones to know the current time – that’s a given – but it is also important to us to know what time it is at home. Home is in Eastern time, aka Miami.

What’s wrong with this picture?
You might look at that picture and say, “That’s a nice picture, there’s nothing wrong with it.” But, I don’t want you to look at my picture and say, “That’s nice” I want you to look at it and say “Wow!”

Google Plus is shutting down, how will it affect your Blogger blog?
A lot of people are getting emails lately, “Your Google+ account is going away.” People have then been asking us, “What is Google Plus, and should I care that it is going away?”

How to follow our travels by joining our photo album
We add photos daily, and you can see them at any time just by clicking the link. People tell us that “joining” our photo album is the best way they’ve ever experienced following someone’s travel. No need to use Facebook, or Twitter, or Instagram – just Google Photos.
