Over the past year, I’ve imported nearly 20,000 family photos into Picasa, where I’ve sorted them into nearly 100 files (named them “Book 1” thru “Book 98”) and edited them where necessary (removed red-eye, added captions, created collages, etc).
I’d like to be able to get these pictures onto both my Apple iPhone 6S and Apple iPad Air 2. Is there a way to do this without losing the edits that I’ve made to the pictures in Picasa and also to arrange the pictures on these devices by year, the way they’re displayed in Picasa. I’ve been able to get nearly 4,000 photos onto my iPhone and iPad, but they are the photos stored in My Pictures on my Windows PC and not the edited photos in Picasa. If I can do this, it would be much easier to share with family and friends.
Thanks very much,

My recommendation is to use Google Photos. This will make you “device independent” – that means, your photos are all in the cloud (on line) and you can see them with whichever device you want to use.
There are a few different ways to get your edited photos from Picasa to Google Photos. As a member, you have access to Mrs. Geek’s Guide to Google Photos on this page. Read thru chapter 12 on Google Photos and Picasa and come back here with any questions.
