I am still learning to use Google Photos sorry for all the questions. I use Win 10 and I’d like to have the Google Photos icon show on my Desktop screen with my other start program icons. I have installed the app on my Samsung 7 cell and Tablet however the only place I find it on my computer PC is on a tab on Chrome browser. It would be convenient to have it on the desktop.
I checked the Microsoft app store and the only thing I found “Photos Pro for Google Photos” which seems to just copy what Google Photos already does.
There are 3 versions of Google Photos: 1. Android 2. iOS and 3. Web
There is no Windows version of the app – you use the web.
You can make a shortcut on your windows 10 desktop for any web page:
1. Go to the web page (photos.google.com) and copy the URL
2. On your Win10 desktop, right-click on the desktop and choose New … shortcut
3. in the space provided – paste the URL OK
